How to make a Tech Deck Fingerboard
Tech Deck Fingerboards are a miniature skateboard. They are enjoyed by people of all ages around the world. The little skateboards are exact replicas of the full sized skateboards but instead of using the feet to do the tricks and maneuvers, the fingers are used.
1. To make the Tech Deck Fingerboards you will need to purchase the kit for the fingerboard. After you have the kit then you gather all the materials.
2. Take the two wood planks and measure them to the desired length and width.
3. With a pen or marker, mark the length on the wood planks as well as the width.
4. Using duct tape or another strong type of tape, tape the sides of the lengths and width of the wood planks.
5. Take two of the four small cardboard squares and tape them to the opposite length of the wood planks. This will be the back of the fingerboard.
6. Take the large piece and tape it to the back of the planks, making the bottom.
7. Take the medium cardboard rectangles. Draw an outline on the cardboard making the side. Cut exactly on the line then tape this new section to the wood planks.
8. Take the two remaining cardboard squares, which match the same measurements of the back, place them on the inside of the wood planks where you have taped them together. This gives support to the fingerboard.
9. On the opposite side, repeat step #7. This should finish the decking for your fingerboard.
10. Add the trunk and wheels to the board. Carefully screw the truck gently so you do not break the wood planks.
11. Add designs and decal or decoration to the fingerboard.
Note: If you are painting the wood planks, allow the paint to completely dry so you do not smear or ruin your work of art.
